Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K & Kids Course Information
Note: All of the courses are tentative and subject to final approval by the County of Maui and the South Kihei Police.
Kalama Beach Park - start and finish for all events.
Marathon Course (26.2 miles)
Our marathon course starts and finishes in Kalama Beach Park in Kihei, right on the ocean. Initially you head up to Piilani Hwy. and then north for around 4 miles to a turnaround point on the Piilani. At the turnaround point you head south back towards Kihei and past Kalama Beach Park. You continue on South Kihei Rd until around the 15 Mile mark. At Ahihi Bay you turnaround again and head north back to Kalama Beach Park for the finish. For the measured course map..
The Marathon course has been measured to USATF standards and is certified to USATF standards (Certification #HI08028TLB. It is a Boston / NYC Qualifier.
Half Marathon Course (as of October 2008)
Our half marathon course starts and finishes in Kalama Beach Park in Kihei, right on the ocean. The course is an out and back course right along the Pacific Ocean. As you leave Kalama Beach park you head South on South Kihea Road, through Wailea all the way to the Prince Hotel area. You then turnaround and head North back to the Kalama Beach Park. Through rthe whole course you will have the ocean on one side and Haleakala on the other side. This new course is spectacular.

5k Course
The 5K courses starts and finishes in Kalama Beach Park. It heads South from the park and follows S. Kihei Rd. all the way through and into Kamaole Park III for a turnaround back to Kalama. For the 5K course Map!
The 5K course has been measured to USATF standards and is certified to USATF standards( HI08030TLB).
Keiki (Kid's) races
All of the Keiki events are within the grounds of Kalama Beach Park. They will be age-graded and run in a cross-country format. The ages will run from one through six years and parents are welcome to accompany their kids in the race for moral support. All competitors will receive a toy souvenir and a goodies bag upon completion. The kid's races will not be timed. Everyone is a winner.
